Week 9 McNeese Football Starting Lineup vs Nicholls
LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA: McNeese is coming off a disheartening lose to Incarnate Word and looking for redemption this week against another Southland Conference foe, the Nicholls Colonels.
Last week, The Pokes lost 30-17 in a game that was a true litmus test on where the football stands in the conference. This week they take on last year's Southland Conference champions, however, this version of the Colonels (3-4) is nowhere near the caliber of last year's squad.
The game will also close out a brutal four-game, six-week road trip. McNeese is the only team in the country to not have a home game in the month of October.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• 112 – Number of offensive plays that have gained 10 yards or more on the season.
• 40 – Total pass break-ups by the defense on the year. Last season, McNeese recorded 26.
• 22 – Total 4th quarter points allowed all season.
• 18 – Number of punts that have traveled 50 yards or more by Finn Lappin. Last season, McNeese had 5 of 50 yards or more from its previous punter.

• The Cowboys haven’t played at home since a Sept. 21 win over Alcorn State and did not play a home game in the month of October for the first time in school history.
• McNeese’s 4 wins through 8 games are the most under Goff and most since 2019.
