Earlier this week Gypsy Rose took to social media to announce her pregnancy with now boyfriend Ken Urker. But Louisiana law may complicate things for the couple down the road.

If you've been watching her mini-series on the Lifetime Channel, this may come as a shock to viewers. Gypsy was so resistant when talking about having children with her then husband, Lake Charles teacher Ryan Anderson, who she filed for divorce. She would say the timing isn't right with the media circus around them and that they needed to wait until their life leveled out.

Fast forward to the present, Gypsy announced on Tuesday of this week that she is 11 weeks pregnant and that she and Ken are expecting their baby around January 2025.

So here's how Louisiana law could complicate things for Gypsy, Ken, and Ryan down the road. Gypsy and Ryan are currently separated waiting on their divorce proceedings.

According to Louisiana law, unless paternity is proven by legal means, a woman's husband or ex-husband is assumed to be the child's father if she was married to someone other than the biological father at the time of conception or if she had been divorced for less than 300 days.
