Wine Lovers, This Huge Lake Charles Event Is Coming Back

KNGT | Lake Charles, LA — If you like wine, good food, and having a good time with folks from all over Southwest Louisiana, go ahead and circle Saturday, October 10th, 2026. Rouge et Blanc is coming back to the McNeese State University campus, and this is one of those Lake Charles events that turns an ordinary Saturday afternoon into a pretty dang good time.

Rouge et Blanc will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on the McNeese campus in Lake Charles. And if you've never been, this ain't just folks standing around drinking wine. Well...there IS plenty of wine. But there's a whole lot more behind this event. Food, Wine and a Whole Lot of Southwest Louisiana Rouge et Blanc is an annual celebration of food and wine put on by Banners at McNeese State University.

Here's Why Everybody Will Be Heading to McNeese October 10th.

Area restaurants, chefs, wine vendors and wine experts come together for the event. Add in hundreds of folks walking around the McNeese campus, visiting, eating, tasting wine and probably finding a few new favorites along the way. Sounds like my kinda Saturday. What I really like about events like this is how many local people it takes to pull them off.

Area sponsors help make Rouge et Blanc possible. Restaurants and wine vendors take part. Experts give their time and knowledge. Then you've got a group of community volunteers working behind the scenes to make the whole thing happen.

That's Southwest Louisiana right there. You already know that we like to party and have a good time for no reason, but we tend to turn it up a notch for a good time. Rouge et Blanc Helps Keep Banners Going. The fun on October 10th also helps support something much bigger.

Money raised through Rouge et Blanc helps fund the annual Banners Cultural Series held during March and April. It also helps support educational programs through Banners Engages.

The 2026 Banners season included concerts, ballet, art exhibits, films, educational programs and several other events around Southwest Louisiana. So that glass of wine and plate of food are doing a little more than filling up your Saturday afternoon. They're helping keep arts, culture and educational programs right here at home.
