Is Pinball Making a Comeback in Southwest Louisiana?
KNGT | Lake Charles, LA — Over the weekend I was scrolling through facebook and came across something new to the area. Now this hobby is not new per say, but more of a "blast from the past" Pinball...Yep, pinball.
Now if your new to the world like some, you might not even know what pinball is. You know, those flashing machines that used to be in pizza joints, bowling alleys, arcades, and just about every place a kid could spend a dollar back in the day. The kind of game where you could hear bells ringing and see lights flashing from across the room.
Well, it looks like pinball is making a comeback right here in Southwest Louisiana.

While scrolling through Facebook, I came across the SWLA Pinball Club. According to their page, they are an active community focused on competing on pinball machines in the Lake Charles area and surrounding communities. Their goal is to bring together everyone from beginners all the way up to seasoned professionals. Also I found a post about upcoming tournaments and events.
Where can I play Pinball in Lake Charles, Louisiana?
Our friends over at Crying Eagle Brewing Company on McNeese Street have opened up a brand new room called the "Tilt Room," and it's packed full of pinball machines.
That's right. An entire room dedicated to pinball.
People are always looking for something fun to do in the summer. We spend enough time staring at phones and screens these days. Pinball gives folks a chance to get out of the house, meet new people, grab a cold drink, and enjoy a little friendly competition.
Whether you're someone who grew up playing pinball or you've might be looking for a new hobby, this might be worth checking out. Who knows? The next big thing in Southwest Louisiana might not be on your phone. It might be a silver ball bouncing around inside a pinball machine.
So if you're looking for something different to do this summer, keep an eye on the SWLA Pinball Club and the new Tilt Room at Crying Eagle.
